Allen and Linda Anderson

Pet-Experts  ·  Bestselling and Award-Winning Authors

and Speakers  ·  Lifestyle Marketing Consultants

Allen and Linda Anderson are at the forefront of these significant lifestyle changes in America today --
  • Two out of three homes have pets (the highest number in history);
  • 88 percent of people with pets view them as family members;
  • More people have pets than have children;
  • 7,000 animal organizations with 10,000,000 members operate in communities across the country everyday and affect who wins elections, the food and clothing sold at stores, and a city or state's quality of life;
  • There is a proven, direct link between animal abuse in children and adults and violent behavior toward humans;
  • People live longer, age better, have less loneliness, and are healthier if they have pets;
  • Millions of people make hundreds of lifestyle choices for how and where to live, what church to attend, and how to spend their money based on their love and concern for family pets.

Relationships between people and pets have taken intriguing twists and turns in this era when the greatest number of American homes in history have pets.

Allen and Linda speak about how this important but underestimated trend of pets in homes impacts the nation’s individuals and communities in cultural, educational, legal, social, health, economic, and spiritual ways. They offer innovative ways for avoiding conflict and controversy while celebrating and supporting America’s love affair with pets.

Allen and Linda Anderson show corporations, animal and service organizations, veterinarians and vet techs, colleges, high schools, and churches how to interpret startling new research about animal companionship.

With this invaluable knowledge and perceptiveness, anyone can enhance client or patient services, improve sales, focus on career paths, and tap into what millions of Americans value deeply –- a satisfying relationship with the family pet.

Did you know:

  • People with pets have significantly lower heartrate and blood pressure and handle stress easier than those who don’t have pets?
  • Over two-thirds of people sleep in their beds with the family pet?
  • Two-thirds of people with pets buy them holiday gifts?
  • Taking vacations and leisure time with pets is on the upswing with state-of-the-art boarding centers and pet-friendly services at hotels?
  • Perks for employees now include pet insurance and doggie daycare?
  • Americans are spending $24.5 billion a year on veterinary care to keep pets healthy?
  • Americans are spending $41 billion a year on pet products and services?
  • Books about pets and animals in nature regularly make the top ten New York Times Bestsellers and Publisher’s Group Weekly lists?
  • A study showing women saying they prefer the company of their dogs over their spouses?
  • Many people say that the death of a pet hurts more than losing a human family member?
  • People's choice of pets reveal dogpiles of information about what they will buy and their chances for success are with romantic relationships?

 Allen and Linda Giving a Presentation at the Minneapolis Convention Center

With their collections of amazing true stories, gathered for over a decade, from all over the world, Allen and Linda Anderson entertain, warm hearts, and reveal how relating to animals enriches and impacts every aspect of an individual’s or family’s life.

Their visionary insights leave audiences with plenty to think and talk about in regard to the unprecedented impact of America’s pet mania.

"Allen and Linda Anderson have a special gift of communication whether it’s with the numerous audiences they address each year or the animals they nurture and rescue. Their compassion and assistance for the rescued and the needy as well as the healthy and well-cared for is an inspiring model. Their messages of healing and hope shine through everything they do and have left a lasting impression on me. I recommend them, without hesitation, as knowledgeable and inspirational public speakers and writers."
--Jo Gilbertson, formerly community relations manager for Barnes & Noble; now, group sales & audience development coordinator, The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra

ABOUT ALLEN AND LINDA ANDERSON

In 1996, Allen and Linda Anderson founded the Angel Animals Network (WWW.ANGELANIMALS.NET) to share the healing, emotional, instructional, and spiritual benefits and complexities of human-animal companionship.

Individually or as a dynamic couple, the Andersons present innovative and uplifting ways for pet enthusiasts of any age or profession to have and support  life-enhancing relationships with pets and to deal with the hidden sorrow of pet loss.

As trained animal rescue volunteers they have committed themselves to protecting the precious gifts pets bring to individuals and communities. Allen and Linda Anderson donate a portion of proceeds from their work to animal rescue organizations and do fundraising activities. Their dog and cats are rescued -- or is it the other way around?

Through their extensive research into animal rescue and safety, the Andersons are also authorities on how preparing animals for emergencies and disasters saves people’s lives. Their national award-winning, critically acclaimed book, Rescued, reveals the underground world of animal rescue and how it has become essential for improving quality of life in communities and the country.

Kay C. Goss, CEM, Director of Emergency Management and Crisis Communication, Homeland Security wrote "RESCUED: Saving Animals from Disaster was very well received by the students and my faculty colleagues.  It provided a very helpful framework for our [Animals in Disaster, Spring 2007, Arkansas Tech University] course study."

--John M. Hemack, president, Masys Corporation

"Linda Anderson’s interview on UnityFM radio made my day. Few people discuss topics about animals with such an objective, enlightened, and caring attitude for both humans and animals. Linda discusses sensitive topics in a matter-of-fact and caring manner. This is important to those of us who already know that animals are angels and work miracles in our lives."
--Kathy DeSantis, book reviewer,
Orange County, California

"Even though I’m not a pet lover, have never had a pet of my own, after listening to Allen Anderson speak I realized what a phenomenal impact these little creatures have on their owners. I enjoyed Allen’s speech very much, and it inspired me to be more understanding when I see people interact with their pets and why people see their pets as part of their family. Allen’s insight of this subject is outstanding, and I would recommend him for any event.”
--Anna Dee Olson, The Amish Lady, author of Growing Up Amish, www.GrowingUpAmish.com

"Allen and Linda Anderson are uplifting speakers who help us understand the greater significance of animals in human lives. They are plainspoken Midwesterners who share their insights and wisdom in universal ways.  Utilizing stories they have collected from around the world, the Andersons present lessons they have learned, enabling others to approach their important relationship with animals in new ways. They tie big ideas to the ground in ways that ordinary people understand them. "
--Barbara J. Gislason, ESQ., animal lawyer and national speaker

"Linda and Allen Anderson, individually or as a team, are excellent presenters in a group setting. After they appeared on my radio program, "Healing with Your Pet," several times, I asked them to appear personally before my local group, The Minneapolis Theosophical Society. They drew a good crowd of enthusiastic people who were mesmerized by their presentation. They both speak from the heart and really connect with a group. They are excellent public speakers."
--Von Braschler,
